🥑 The story of the ripe avocado
Cut clean down the middle, this avocado is caught at its perfect moment. The flesh runs from deep green at the rim to a paler, creamier green toward the centre, and the whole face of it has been glazed to a wet, just sliced shine. Around the outside the skin is that dark bumpy brown you only trust when the fruit is properly ready.
At its heart sits the stone, a big glossy dome the colour of polished chestnut, round and smooth and standing slightly proud of the surface.
It is a small ode to the fruit that toast forgot it needed. Shaped and glazed by hand, so the green never browns and the stone never has to be thrown out. Good company for anyone who takes their brunch a little too seriously.
